Day 66 of 100 Days

As of today, I am officially a two thirds of the way through my challenge! That’s another milestone hit, and I was able to get out into the garden and start sowing some tomato seeds which definitely felt like a bit of a reward. I also took some time to do some prep work for my big project tomorrow. It’s International Women’s Day, and I’m working with some people to help create a comms plan for a charity called Imara. You’ll hear a lot more about that tomorrow.

What: Keyword Research
Organisation: The Doorstep Library

The Doorstep Library are launching their new website on Wednesday (should all go to plan), so in preparation I am doing some keyword research for them. By doing my keyword research now, I was able to plot out some ads so that they’ll be ready to cut, paste into AdWords and publish on Wednesday. I’m lucky enough to have access to the new version of the website, so I’m getting ahead. I'd always liked the previous website, but this one really is a huge improvement because it looks really awesome and is so easy to navigate. It's amazing what a simple design change can do to a webpage to clean a website up. I do my best with what I have here, but I imagine if a proper designer got hold of my website they could make a huge difference with some simple tweaks.

What: Creating Ads
Organisation: Only A Pavement Away

While I was in the Google mindset and on the platform, I also created some ads for the new Only A Pavement Away Cookbook. This book was created on the back of a campaign they ran before I joined them, the Five Minute Feast with Tom Aikens where supporters were challenged with creating a video of themselves creating five minute meals. This book has collated the best of the recipes and we will hopefully be selling lots and raising loads of money for OAPA. What was interesting about the keyword research is that it took me back to some really mainstream search terms. Yes, this is a charity cookbook, but we’ll hopefully be able to reach a new audience with the people who are searching for quick recipes…
